Veteran Travelers

Veteran students and those in the ROTC program are equally encouraged to study abroad during their academic career. While abroad, you will acquire new skills and learn from new perspectives to augment those gained through your training and service. Additionally, you may be able to direct your VA benefits toward study abroad program costs. Students should contact the Veteran Affairs Office to discuss their options.

Wherever you study abroad, it is important to be aware of the political, historical, and cultural aspects of society that could influence your experience. Because of the United States’ historical military involvement, students should research their intended destination prior to studying abroad. Students should consider how the American military is viewed in other countries and how this could impact their study abroad program.
