Friends of the Office of International Education, now the Center for Global Education and Engagement, established this scholarship to provide grants for Brockport students to gain international experiences through study-abroad programs, internships, or co-operative education.

This scholarship was largely funded through the generosity of Dr. Robert McLean, an emeritus faculty member from the Department of History. Dr. McLean also served as assistant vice president for Academic Affairs in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
