Program Description:

Office of International Education Programmatic Scholarships 

A fund has been established to award semester study abroad scholarships for specific programs. Applicants from all campuses are eligible to apply. A limited number of  scholarships will be awarded to students chosen from applications to the following programs:
  • Australia: University of Canberra 
  • China: The Beijing Program
  • Czech Republic: The Prague Internship Program
  • Ghana: University of Ghana
  • England: University of Roehampton
  • Italy: John Cabot University
  • Vietnam: The Brockport Vietnam Program
To apply for the scholarship, a college level essay addressing the following questions is required. (The essay should be double-spaced, consist of no more than 500 words and saved as a .PDF file to upload to the scholarship application website.)
  • The impact that the experience of immersion in the culture of the country will have on your studies and future career plans.
  • How experiencing another culture will help you to better understand your own country's culture and way of life.
  • Why the study abroad experience is an important part of any student’s growth and development.

Scholarships will be awarded based on a review of the application, financial need and GPA level.
