Housing and Orientation

Students will stay in hotels for the duration of the trip.

Courses

Students will earn 3 credits for the program. 
 

Cost 

Fees for the Brockport Best of Italy Program, Winter 2018-19:

$5,346.36 Undergraduate cost for 3 credits (Estimated)
$5,546.36 Graduate cost for 3 credits (Estimated)

The cost includes:
  • Tuition
  • Campus fees (college and technology fee)
  • SUNY International Health Insurance
  • Pre-departure orientation materials
  • Round trip airfare to/from NYC-Italy
  • Accommodations
  • Daily breakfast and dinner
  • Group activities and excursions
  • In-country transportation
  • Guided tours
  • Tour Itinerary™
  • and Brockport's Study Abroad Office services including the presence of a Brockport Faculty Director

The cost of the program does not include:
  • Passport
  • Flight to/from NYC
  • Additional meals
  • Airline impossed baggage fees
  • Miscellaneous expenses (this includes entertainment, additional excursions, shopping, laundry, etc.)

Financial aid applies towards fees.

*The SUNY International Health Insurance is mandatory and will be included on the student's Brockport invoice. 
**Varies depending on the SUNY campus at which the participant pays tuition.

The cost (and items included in the cost) as listed on the website are subject to change and should be considered estimates.  Final budget sheets will be mailed to the student prior to departure and usually upon acceptance.

  • Meet your tour director and check into hotel
  • Venice guided walking sightseeing tour with Whisper headsets
  • St. Mark’s Square, St. Mark's Basilica, Doge's Palace visit, Glass-blowing demonstration

  • Free time in Venice


Day 4 Venice--Florence

  • Travel to Florence
  • Florence guided walking sightseeing tour with Whisper headsets
  • Palazzo Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Chiesa di Santa Croce, Ponte Vecchio, Duomo visit, leather workshop, Gates of Paradise, Giotto’s Bell Tower, Dante's House

  • Accademia visit
  • Cooking class & dinner


Day 6 Florence

  • Free time to explore Florence


Day 7 Florence--Rome

  • Travel to Rome
  • St. Francis of Assisi Basilica visit
  • Rome city walk
  • Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona
