Identity and Culture Resources

SUNY Brockport's Center for Global Education and Engagement (CGEE) provides life-changing, eye-opening, and confidence building experiences for faculty, staff and students. We further focus on empowering educators and connecting diverse students to resources and opportunity. When abroad, faculty and students will face new cultural context that includes different historical and cultural understandings of diversity and inclusion. These issues can include race/ethnicity, religion, disability and gender identity. Foreign laws, facilities, and social practices are often different than the U.S., leaving travelers to feel concerned and hesitant to travel. However, with enough planning and understanding, there is a study abroad program to make all travelers feel prepared.

CGEE is a committed partner of Diversity Abroad.
