Program Description:

Please use this application if you are a Brockport Student participating on another SUNY school's Study Abroad Program.

Program Information- Other SUNY Programs

Brockport students participating on programs administered by other 4-year SUNY campuses must be registered at SUNY Brockport while studying abroad. All your credits and course equivalents will be managed through the Center for Global Education and Engagement (CGEE) located in Dailey Hall.

Brockport students studying on programs administered by SUNY Community or Technology Colleges must follow the rules for transfer credit, and, if studying for a semester or longer, also apply for a Leave for Approved Study.  We recommend that you explore the options available to you on programs administered by The College at Brockport or another 4-year SUNY campuses first before selecting one of these alternatives.

Requirements

Consult the college or university that is administering your program for information about requirements and appropriate application procedures.

Students must submit their acceptance letter under "Other SUNY Program" so the CGEE has record of international travel.

Credits

Students participating on programs administered by other 4-year SUNY campuses will remain registered at SUNY Brockport and will be earning Brockport credits automatically.  Students participating on other programs will be earning credits that must be accepted for transfer by The College at Brockport.

With proper approvals, credits earned while studying abroad may be counted toward your major, minor, or general education requirements in addition to counting toward the 120 credits required for graduation.

Support Services

Brockport hosts a general orientation session prior to your departure, and we are available to assist you at all times.  Program-specific questions should be answered by the administering campus and the staff at your overseas site.

Housing

Housing information is program-specific.  Please consult the campus that is administering your program for details.

Costs

If you are attending a program administered by another 4-year SUNY, you will be registered at Brockport and will pay regular tuition here.  Otherwise, you will pay tuition as directed by the administering campus.  All other expenses will be paid either to the school which is administering your program or to the provider of the services you are purchasing.
