Program Information for Other Non-SUNY Programs

Brockport students studying on programs administered by SUNY Community or Technology Colleges or non-SUNY schools must follow the rules for transfer credit, and, if studying for a semester or longer, also apply for a Leave for Approved Study.  We recommend that you explore the options available to you on programs administered by SUNY Brockport or another 4-year SUNY campuses first before selecting one of these alternatives.

Requirements

Consult the college or university that is administering your program for information about requirements and appropriate application procedures.

Students must submit their acceptance letter under "Other Non-SUNY Program" so the CGEE has record of international travel.

Credits

Students participating on other programs will be earning credits that must be accepted for transfer by SUNY Brockport.  With proper approvals, credits earned while studying abroad may be counted toward your major, minor, or general education requirements in addition to counting toward the 120 credits required for graduation.

Support Services

Brockport hosts a general orientation session prior to your departure, and we are available to assist you at all times.  Program-specific questions should be answered by the administering campus and the staff at your overseas site.

Housing

Housing information is program-specific.  Please consult the campus that is administering your program for details.

Costs

If you are attending a program that is not administered by SUNY Brockport or another non-SUNY campus, you will pay tuition as directed by the administering campus. Financial aid may not be applicable as you will not remain a matriculated SUNY student.
